Engineering design service, increased treatment capapcity

Oslo municipality will require increased capacity of treatment of municipal sewage water for the next few years. A concept alternative study for increased treatment capacity has been prepared, of which 3 alternatives have been subject to further consideration. This concept alternative study is presently subject to quality assurance (KS1) and when the KS1 is completed a decision regarding selected alternative is expected to be presented. The Agency for Water and Sewerage Works, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, will during 2011 prepare a preliminary project for the selected alternative. The recommended alternative will be subject to a preliminary project and is scheduled to be completed within a time frame of 7 months. The other alternatives are scheduled to have an additional period of 2 to 3 months. The Awarding Authority intends to enter into a contract with an engineering design group for execution of the preliminary project. Simultaneously with the execution of the preliminary project, the project management shall draw up a steering document for implementation of the project, and determine the contract practice. The contract with the engineering design group will include option for further consultancy services from the engineering design group, either by preparing the tender documents in case of potential engineering, procurement and construction contract or option for detailed engineering design services in connection with selection of other contract practise.
