In 2010 the amount of waste was 2 400 tons divided between 2 706 containers categorised as residue waste as there was not any source sorting of waste previously.In addition 570 tons unsorted household waste is delivered to the environment station in Vadsø. On top of this 236 tons of cardboard and paper divided between the households and environment station is delivered.
