Oslo municipality, the Agency for Outdoor Recreation and Nature Management, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, will require a professional garden contractor for executing various logging and tree tending works. The works have previously been carried out by the Awarding Authority’s employees, but as a result of internal alterations, the Awarding Authority requests tenders for management of street trees and park trees, (City Districts‘ parks) in Oslo for the present year. There are many dead trees in parks and streets. It is primarily elms which have died due to Dutch elm disease, but also other types of wood have died due to various reasons. Logging and removing trees prior to breakage will be required.
Many trees have dead and dry branches. It will be necessary to cut branches that are in danger of falling down.
Tree protectors/trunk protectors in streets have served their purpose. A large number of these protectors are in process of damaging the trees. The tree protectors shall be cut loose and removed. Components below ground, if any, shall not be removed.
